YOUTH CONTESTS
All Youth Contest entries must be sent to Peggy Morrissey.
January 6th Is The Submission Deadline For All GCNJ Youth Contests.
- Smokey Bear/Woodsy Owl Poster Contest: 1st-5th grades
- CAR-SCG High School Essay Contest: 9th-12th grades
- NGC Youth Poetry Contest: K-9th grades
- NGC Youth Sculpture Contest: 4th-8th grades

Please carefully review changes noted below:
Changes have been made this year that limit the number of contest entries a local club may send to the NJ Youth Chair. The submissions are now limited to three entries per contest, per grade level, per local club.
The local club will be responsible for the selection of those contest entries that are sent to GCNJ Youth Chair.
It is recommended that the selection of the entries be made by a Selection Committee composed of a minimum of three adult local club members who are not related to Youth contestants, and who would be impartial in their selections and who have the appropriate background for and interest in the youth projects. If the local club so chooses, a community representative may be invited to join the Selection Committee. It would be at the discretion of the local club to determine whether to have one Selection Committee for all contests or a separate Selection Committee for each respective contest.

CONTEST GUIDELINES: Club entries for these contests must be mailed to our Awards Chair by January 6th.
Reminder: Please mail entries flat rather than rolled, using a sturdy mailing envelope. Maximum of 3 entries per grade level, for each of the Youth Contests, may be submitted.
